As a writer, I really find it difficult to aptly describe the Schools Division Superintendent, Ma. Lorlinie M. Ortillo, CESO VI,  considering the fact  that I might not be able to give due justice to the name that they faithfully  protect.  At first I am thinking of the Latin phrase, “Primus Inter Pares" which means the First Among Equals.

This phrase, I believe, will describe her entire persona, thus, her name deserves to be equated with the said Latin phrase. Without a tinge of doubt she is the person best suited to lead Bago City Schools Division Office, for she is the epitome of a servant leader, an attribute enunciated by the said Latin phrase "Primus Inter Pares".

I can still vividly recall that once she served us personally a slice of water melon, and bought us with lechon manok when we were working with the  "Dagaya" beyond our official time.  If Mam Lorlinie is conscious of traditional hierarchy or formal title, she should have not given us such service the mere fact that her presence alone commands authority of special importance and influence.

 

The Lady Justice also flashed into my mind. -  Like the Lady Justice, our Schools Division Superintendent is a goddess in human form.  A personification of justice balancing the scales of truth and fairness.  The Lady Justice (Justitia, the Roman goddess of Justice who is equivalent to the Greek goddess Dike) must have incarnated to the Schools Division of Bago City in the person of Ma. Lorlinie M. Ortillo, CESO VI for she is just and fair in everything that she does.

Ma. Lornilie M. Ortillo is indeed an embodiment of RIGHT RULE.

​

Athena one of my favorite goddesses is noted for her wit and tactics, the fact that she is the goddess of wisdom and of strategic war.  Like Athena, Ma. Janelyn T, fundal, Ph.D is also branded as mentally gifted for being smart and intelligent.  For the record, she is a graduate of West Visayas State University – Cum Laude.

As I write this column, I was also reminded that the assistant superintendent doesn’t like that her being a Cum laude will always be mentioned every time she is introduced. However, I cannot do it.  I need to recognize such achievement. 



Similar to Athena, Janelyn T. Fundal, Ph.D is likewise a distinguished strategist.  I happened to have a close encounter with her one time.  In that meeting I concluded that she is a woman of substance; a woman whom I believe can discuss various issues under the sun. In that said encounter, she keeps on asking me what innovations shall I introduce that might be used by the school in order to improve the results of examinations given by the regional and national offices. Indeed she knows her craft fully well.

Janelyn T. Fundal, Ph. D is undeniably an innovative visionary. - A strategist by nature.
